Teaching is challenging enough. Teaching kids with Aspergers disorder is even more difficult. After all, how do you catch the attention of a little person who finds it difficult to focus? How do you break down complex pieces of information into bite-sized, easy to comprehend portions for a child who lacks interest in most things, is unable to physically sit still, and avoids nonverbal communication?

Considered a disorder at the higher end of the autism continuum, Aspergers disorder affects the normal development of the brain in areas involving communication and social interaction.
